HBT Digital Consulting has long-desired to help and support local charities and nonprofits, and it is our pleasure to welcome HBT Digital’s very first Nonprofit Organization of the Month, Center of Life (COL)! We could not be happier to be supporting such a selfless organization this January.

Center of Life Hazelwood is a “community-empowerment organization” located in Hazelwood, PA, and provides youth and their families with many different skills and training necessary to keep and create a strong community. Kids are welcomed to COL with open arms and a staff that is ready to work hands-on (and masks-on, of course) with them. 

Center of Life is recognized throughout the Pittsburgh community, as the organization has been working on some amazing things this past year.

Helping Hazelwood

  • COL staff have delivered over 175,000 free meals throughout the Pittsburgh community (five days a week) since March. That’s a lot of meals!
  • COL has been hosting a learning community hub for students who do not have a safe, supervised place to complete their online learning. COL staff assists kids throughout the day while they are logged onto their online schooling. This operates Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:45 p.m.
  • COL Jazz and the KRUNK Movement students have been putting on virtual concerts and performances due to social distancing guidelines. Each group has hosted one so far, and they plan to host their second concerts soon!
