Black Friday is the best time of the year for avid shoppers, and in a digital world, marketing for the “holiday” can get pretty creative. Companies start advertising for Black Friday months in advance, and some even make a month-long extravaganza out of it. Keep reading to see how some of the world’s most well-known brands are using social media and other digital marketing channels to promote Black Friday and reel people into their stores and online shops this holiday season!

One company doing Black Friday in style is Fashion Nova. This email was sent in October, a month before the actual day, and the deal in this email advertisement is one you can’t miss! The brand is even doing a “12 Days of Black Friday Steals.” After seeing this email, it makes people want to check their emails for the rest of the deals (a hack for the businesses with a low open-rates on emails).

Online businesses are even giving out amazing deals this holiday season. You can enjoy 40% off merchandise plus free shipping! Even if you aren’t a brick-and-mortar store, you can still digitally market your company with the use of email marketing.

H&M followed the trend of beginning Black Friday deals early- so early, that the company is doing an early Black Friday “special.” This email campaign lets customers know that this special deal is available online and in-store.

Social Media Marketing 

Amazon got creative this year with its social media marketing. This heartfelt Snapchat ad makes users want to hop on the site to view some pretty awesome Black Friday deals. Amazon actually offers early Black Friday deals too. Check some of them out here! The image below is a Google Display Ad; advertisers can do an ad for general awareness, or even create a “remarketing” ad for people who visited certain product pages. It’s a great way to increase conversions after the initial visit!

Instagram is great for social media marketing because you can target your ads to your preferred audience. Targeting can be based on the audience’s interests, location, etc. The IG story feature is filled with ads, so during the holiday season, you are most likely going to see some Black Friday ads. Here’s one of Target advertising one of its holiday vacuum deals. You can even post different ads of the same campaign to show up right after one another! It’s a great way to keep the end-user engaged and looking at unique content.

Google Search Ads

Black Friday deals show up when you search for the keyword phrase. For example, stores will have their ads placed at the top of the search engine results pages so that you see them if you search for “Black Friday deals.”

Black Friday digital marketing is always a treat for those who like to get their Christmas shopping done early in the season. Consumers get the latest on the best deals at their favorite stores, such as tailored email campaigns and social media advertising that is custom to their interests.
