Alternative Marketing Channels

Off

You know HBT Digital as the “Lead Gen Experts” and that we Help Businesses Thrive by utilizing search engine marketing and social media advertising. Immediately, prospects and clients think of “Google Ads” and “Facebook Ads,” but there are other marketing channels that could provide amazing returns. Have you thought about launching ads on the platforms below?

Reddit

Do you love reading the “front page of the internet?” Have a product or service that has a very specific audience? Reddit is king with niche targeting – there are over 3 million active subreddits (specific niches like r/FoodFails/, or the Best Memes of Reddit). According to Search Engine Journal, “People who use Reddit regularly generally do so for almost 34 minutes daily.” Reddit’s user base also trends toward the younger 18-35 demographic, and its users are highly active in specific segments like Gaming, Fashion, and Entertainment.”

I think this channel is a “must-test” for your business. Create your lead magnet and creative specifically for this channel, and make sure to use UTMs and pixels to track performance.

Twitter

Personally, I love Twitter; it’s great to see breaking news, discover all the creative memes, and get hot takes from our favorite celebrities. It’s also another way to advertise digitally! A few of the ways you can get in front of your target audience is by choosing keywords (like Google Ads!), follower look-alikes (reach people with similar interests to an account’s followers. Similarity is based on things like Tweets, Retweets, clicks, and more.), conversation topics (reach people who Tweeted, engaged with a Tweet, or looked at a Tweet about a conversation topic.), and more.

Hulu

Want to be on connected TV? You can target by location, interest, program genre, and more. Sounds pretty cool, right?

According to Statista,” In the United States, over half of 18 to 34-year-olds said in a survey held in May 2021 that they currently subscribed to Hulu. This is in contrast to just 22 percent of adults aged 65 or above who said the same.”

Ads are personalized for the audience. According to Hulu, “Features like Ad Selector (which presents 2-3 different options so you can choose the ad that interests you most) also give viewers control over their experience. Other actions, such as interacting with the ad or pausing your video, can help create a more relevant and personalized experience.”

Spotify

Have a minimum ad spend and want to do a test? Launch a campaign with a minimum spend of just $250. No strings attached. This is a good channel to be on because 1 in 3 of all global Spotify Free users are Gen Z (A18-24). Also, you can advertise on podcasts, videos, and be on the Spotify Audience Network.

Is producing creative a challenge at your company? Spotify makes things easy; all you need is an idea. Tell them the details, then sit back and relax. Spotify will draft the script for your approval, record the voiceover, and produce the ad for you—all at no additional charge.
