How to Write a Marketing Proposal – Better Proposals – March 2021

Better Proposals is a website that provides information about business proposals. The topic of the article is what to consider when writing a marketing proposal. RJ, managing principal at HBT Digital, offers advice that he’s learned over the years, and that is to do the research and come up with data prior to making promises to his customers. He outlines the expected clicks, cost per click, and click-through rate for specific keywords.

“This research shows that I’m being transparent with their marketing budget and builds trust from the beginning,” he says.

Talks With Thompson Podcast – March 2021

Back in March, RJ Thompson, host of Talks with Thompson, had RJ Huebert on his podcast to talk about his marketing journey, how it got started, and what direction it is going in! In this episode, RJ also talks about who makes for a good client and offers advice for undergraduate marketing students.

“I try to double my revenue year after year. I set my goals high,” says RJ.

“The goal is to have a sales guy (or gal), have a PPC person in-house, have an account manager, and I kind of want a lead director of strategy and lead the company. I want people to execute the vision,” says RJ.

Launching a Successful 5k – MayeCreate Design – June 2021

The MayeCreate Design podcast featured RJ in an episode where he talks about his experience creating 5k races. In this episode, host Monica Maye Pitts asks RJ questions about his journey and how he makes his 5k races something for families to remember forever. RJ gives some great advice on what to consider when creating a race, promoting your race, and even ways to take care of your race volunteers!

“You need to think about location,” says RJ, “because if you want to run in the downtown city streets of Tampa or Pittsburgh, and you want to close off roads and get police, that is going to be so expensive.”

“One of my favorite things is ambassadors, AKA influencers!” says RJ.

RJ has created three 5k races: The Great Mother’s Day Race, The Great Father’s Day Race, and The Great Gay 5k. Check out the episode here!
